What’s In Season?

Agriculture has always been the foundation of South Carolina’s economy. The state currently has about 25,000 farms that grow all types of produce – everything from apples, to peanuts, to peaches, to zucchini. The SC State Farmers Market in West Columbia gives consumers a convenient place to shop year round for goods grown both locally and out of state. While the peak season for area-grown produce runs from April through early October, there’s always something in season at the Market! On their website you’ll find where you can buy fresh, local, Certified SC Grown products and more.SFM_5.5x8.5_Oct16
