South Congaree Championship Rodeo: July 28-29

Spend a thrilling evening at the rodeo as world class cowboys & cowgirls compete! The family will have a blast with food vendors, a mechanical bull, and pony rides and inflatables for the grandkids. Enjoy a day of pampering at this free event specifically designed for the Midlands woman. Featuring dozens of vendors catering to women, massages, makeovers, facials, shopping, self-defense classes, door prizes, canvas painting classes, and more! Shop the Lularoe Multi-Consultant Sale & watch a fashion show. Gather your girlfriends and take a day to appreciate life as a Midlands woman!

Palmetto Tasty Tomato Festival: August 5

Presented by Sustainable Midlands, the Palmetto Tasty Tomato Festival celebrates all aspects of locally grown food. Enjoy a free heirloom tomato tasting, live music on two stages, local food, a craft beer garden, tomato bobbing, and the highly anticipated Tasty Tomato Contest! Delicious festival food will feature local restaurants serving local food with a tomato theme.

Sustainable Midlands Farm Tour: September 9

Participating farms include Carolina Bay, Fire Barrel Farm, The Winery at Mercer House, Up On Cedar Knoll, Leesville Aquaponics, Terra Kotta Farm, Meador Acres Chestnuts, Arnold Farm, and more. The whole family will be fascinated by farm practices such as aquaponics and rainwater harvesting. Get connected with local producers and support our growing farm community!

Bring the whole family to this free event focusing on health and wellness education. Night Hike at Saluda Shoals Park: September 28

Enjoy a night hike along some of Saluda’s incredible trails! On this guided tour, you’ll learn all about the history of the park, interesting facts and more. Bring your flashlight and bug spray! Limited to the first 20 people. $5 per person.

Soggy Doggy Day: October 7

Congaree Bluegrass Festival: October 7-8congbluegrass

This year’s Congaree Bluegrass Festival has something for every member of the family! The festival features top-quality bluegrass bands, incredible festival food, square dancers, and cloggers. The grandkids will love the free children’s area with bouncy houses, carnival rides and tractor rides around the Historic Columbia Speedway. On Sunday, enjoy more great food and Gospel music.
