Foster Grandparents

Foster Grandparents are volunteers who provide one-on-one mentoring, tutoring, and support to children who are at risk or have special needs. Mentoring school-aged children can increase their positive behavior and accelerate their reading level. Volunteers age 55 and older can stay active and engaged in their community by serving children and youth in low-performing public schools, hospitals, daycare centers and Head Start centers, for up to 20 hours each week. Acrylic Painting for Fun: Painting with acrylics is exciting, versatile, and easy as you learn to use the basic supplies and techniques to create extraordinary paintings. Instructor will lead step-by-step demonstrations from a photo, yours or supplied, references including a variety of dynamic landscapes from seaside to mountains. Defensive Driving: Licensed drivers may take this eight-hour National Safety Council course every three years.
