Nestled at the Foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, the city of Landrum is the “Gateway to North Carolina and South Carolina.” Residents and visitors alike enjoy drives along Landrum‘s scenic roads, strolling through the many antique and specialty shops, and dining in its charming eateries.

Downtown Shopping: For treasure hunters and collectors, Landrum is a paradise, with antique shops and boutiques galore! You will find everything from knickknacks to historic items, from furniture to vintage apparel and jewelry, with most stores located along Rutherford Street. Once you’re done shopping, stop in and try one of the many charming restaurants.

Blue Wall Passage – Part of The Palmetto Trail’s 500 miles of hiking and bicycling paths, the 14-mile Blue Wall Passage crosses natural areas that are home to birds, wildlife, scenery, and a 30-foot cascading waterfall! The Downtown Landrum Trailhead takes hikers through the quaint streets of this small town and an hour or so trek from there is Lake Lanier, with six miles of shoreline surrounded by scenic Lakeshore Drive.

Music in Landrum: Music in Landrum is a non-profit organization that brings free performances of virtuoso, classical musicians from all over to play in the beautiful sanctuary at Landrum United Methodist Church. Upcoming performances include: Solo Piano music by Maria Parrini on December 18, the Trillium Trio on January 22, and the Charleston Ensemble on February 26.

Lunch: The Hare & Hound Pub

The Hare & Hound Pub has been serving traditional pub fare, salads, sandwiches, and Rick’s Famous Baby Back Ribs since 2002. Landrum Christmas Stroll & Parade:
This annual event is December 1 and features area businesses, schools, organizations, antique cars, floats and bands! Join the locals downtown to watch horse drawn carriages and festive floats!
