Lake Lure: The Rocky Broad River flows through the
valley that feeds the lake. 720 acres of lake with a beach area. Popular with boaters (permit needed) and fishermen(state license required) as well as folks who love a crystal clear, mountain lake. Morse Park: A 23 acre community park, managed by the Town of Lake Lure. Wonderful mountain views as well as a spot for picnicking, sunbathing on the beach, birding and relaxing. Consists of four distinct areas – the meadow, the gardens, the wetlands, and the riverside. Facilities include a basketball court, 2 lighted tennis courts, covered picnic tables with grills, restrooms, landscaped gardens and more. So much to enjoy!
Lake Lure Tours: Guided 1-hour boat tours with gorgeous views and scenes from “Dirty Dancing”. $15 for adults, $13 for seniors, $7 for kids. Rent hydro-bikes, paddle boats, kayaks, canoes, or stand up paddle boards. Equipment averages $14 an hour. Lake Lure Tours also operates a public beach with swimming area and water park.
