Take a class at the University of South Carolina! Did we mention it’s FREE? If you are 60 years of age or older, you qualify as long as you have been a South Carolina resident for at least 12 months. Courses are offered on a space available basis, therefore students may not register for classes until the day classes begin for the current semester in which they are enrolling

Once accepted, students receive a VIP ID that is used for identification. All students enrolled at USC have this number and in order to register for classes, you will need to have your VIP ID and password to log in to Self Service Carolina. (my.sc.edu)
Ocean Environment: Study the origin and evolution of the oceans, plate tectonics, ocean circulation, waves and tides, seawater and sediment composition, and influences on biology
Value and Ethics in Literature: Analysis of major works of world literature focusing on values, ethics, and social responsibility
Study grammar and practical vocabulary for languages like: Chinese, Arabic, French, German, Greek, Italian, Japanese, Latin, Russian and Spanish
3-D Design: Intro to visual thinking and principles of three-dimensional design
Dance Appreciation: Eclectic survey of various dance forms including primitive, historic, ballet, modern and Broadway musical
Jazz and American Popular Music: Development of Jazz and American popular music through the study of important soloists, ensembles, arrangers and composers
Tuition exemption does not include lab fees, matriculation fees, program fees, etc associated with the class and must be paid by the student.
